PRELUDE is a Classical Music database system for FileMakerPro 3 from Claris. It is an indespensible tool for both classical music enthusiasts and occasional listeners.
PRELUDE can be used for storing information on Artists, Conductors, Composers, Works by those composers and movements, Recordings and playing times, Discs and more, with details of over 600 people and almost 3000 pieces (including many of the most popular) already entered.
Using FileMakerPro’s relational capabilities to the full, it provides an elegant and simple “single click” interface for cross referencing files - with one click, list all your discs containing Beethoven piano sonatas, or all your recordings by Furtwängler. If you’ve got a recording on both CD and LP - no problem, PRELUDE deals with it.
Try it out, it’s the only way to find out what it’s about. I would, however recommend that you read the first three chapters in the help file.
PRELUDE is free, but...
Although this copy of PRELUDE is fully functional, you may only try PRELUDE for up to 30 days without registering. After this time, if you continue to use it, you must register your copy by sending me a pretty postcard - PRELUDE only costs the price of a stamp. Details on how to register are provided within the database. Click the “Registration” button at the bottom of the Main Menu.
Requirements: You must have FileMakerPro 3 installed on your computer to be able to use PRELUDE. Information regarding FileMakerPro 3 and its system requirements along with information about other Claris products can be found at the Claris web site http://www.claris.com.
PRELUDE has been created and tested using Claris FileMakerPro 3.0v4. While it should work with earlier releases of FileMakerPro 3.0, it cannot be guaranteed. You can update your copy of FleMakerPro 3.0v1, v2 or v3 to v4 free of charge by downloading the updater software from Claris at the URL given above.
